Kellens Kids

If your name is Kellen or you know someone with the name Kellen, please let me know. Over the years I have received letters and pictures from parents who have named their child, boy or girl, Kellen. Some say they named their child Kellen simply because they liked the name, while others are football fans and site my career or performance in the Miami game as a reason for selecting the name. Whatever the reason, I enjoy hearing from and staying in contact with those who share the name Kellen. One day maybe we can have a Kellen Reunion.

In case you are wondering where the name Kellen comes from, I can only share with you what I have heard about the origin of the name. I am told it derives from the Irish Kelly and means warrior. You can check that for yourself if you so desire. My parents named me after my fraternal great grandfather James "Kellen" Winslow or to his beloved family "Big Daddy". I never knew my great grandfather, he passed away a couple years before my arrival into this world, but my mother loved his name so much that she selected it for her first-born male child. Quite an honor where I come from.
